Telephone Advisory Committee Meeting – 2022

Chandigarh! The  meeting of Telephone Advisory Committee of Chandigarh Telephone District of BSNL was conducted  on Ist Sept.2022 at UT Guest House,Sector 6 Chandigarh. The meeting was chaired by Honorable MP Smt Kirron Kher,6 other TAC members also attended the meeting. 
At the outset Sh. M.C. singh, General Manager, BSNL welcomed Hon’ble Chairperson and TAC members for sparing the valuable time besides their busy schedule for attending the meeting .He highlighted the role of BSNL as Strategic Asset of India by telling footsteps of company in all areas of communication weather High speed broad band on fibre or Mobile telephony.

BSNL has shown highest level of credibility in providing communication services to the society by launching various services in all urban as well as rural areas. Chandigarh stands first in punjab for mobile  network availability. It stood 2nd in Punjab for providing high speed FTTH connections during last two years. At present 214 OLT are working in Chandigarh Telecomm Disttrict to provide prompt fibreservices. Public Data office has been provided in rural areas where Fibre services are provided at very cheap rates. As country is celebrating 75th AzadikaAmritmahotsav, BSNL has launched various FREEDOM 75 Plans in FTTH.

Testing of 4G services are in final phase and will be launched very shortly. A total of 500 4G sites have been allocated to Chandigarh. This will enhance BSNL mobile data connectivity andusage.GMTD was very much sure that with the introduction of High speed Fibre and 4G servicesthe revenue of BSNL willenhance tremendously.

TAC members also appreciated the efforts of the BSNL towards Fiber to home connectivity ofBSNL,especially in Rural ares.Deputy General Managers and Assistant . General Managers of Chandigarh Telecom District  also attended the meeting.
